Marble mosaic was introduced into Britain by the Romans nearly 2000 years ago. Mosaics laid by them still survive in their original condition and beauty throughout the country. The craft has been handed down through the ages to today, and experts use both traditional and modern materials for reproducing the effect on both floors and walls.
